Truepress JET-SX

The Truepress Jet SX opens up a world of printing possibilities
The printing industry is in the middle of a paradigm shift. Mass production using offset printing presses (for small lots of different products) is no longer the only tool. There is a movement towards personalization using Print On Demand (POD), as well as more ecological production in which exactly what is needed is produced in the correct amounts and at the right moment. The Truepress Jet SX is the world’s first full-color sheet-fed variable printing system that can output onto A2-wide size media, making it the perfect tool for today’s market.
Combining cutting-edge inkjet printing technology with Screen’s image processing and prepress technology, which has been refined through years of experience, the Truepress Jet SX can be used alongside offset printing presses. It offers output onto a wide range of media as part of the new EQUIOSNET business concept, which focuses on “Media Mix” and “Value Creation”

The Truepress JetSX satisfies the product and quality needs of the commercial printing market, including short print runs, fast turnarounds, high registration accuracy and use of variable data. This innovative B2-format duplex printing system boasts quick startups and production flexibility to handle diverse applications that require offset quality. Catalogs, calendars, photo books, posters and greeting cards are among the many products the Truepress JetSX prints with ease. Variable overprinting of offset-printed shells creates added value.
The Truepress JetSX prints 1,620 simplex sheets or 810 duplex sheets per hour. It accommodates coated and uncoated cut sheets up to 20.8" x 29.1". The grayscale printhead emits a minimum droplet size of 2 picoliters, producing a maximum resolution of 1,440 x 1,440 dpi. Screen’s unique FM screening provides exceptional color and smooth tone reproduction.
Thanks to the reversing mechanism that enables duplex printing inside the main unit, the Truepress JetSX delivers full-color printing on both sides of the sheet in one pass. Incorporating the lateral sheet position method found in conventional offset presses ensures highly accurate front-to-back registration. Sheets are in register from the first sheet, saving time and money on makeready waste.
The beauty of the Truepress JetSX is its ability to print on standard offset paper without precoating. The newly developed Truepress ink dries almost instantly, allowing sheets to go directly to postpress for folding, cutting and binding.
