Hi-tech, Hi resolution
Avalon A8T series of thermal external drum platesetter feature 830nm high-resolution thermal laser and square spot screening technology, capable of accurate dot reproduction for AM, FM or hybrid screening. When used with Agfa's Sublima screening technology, it enables you to achieve photo-realistic print quality with no extra effort on press. HiFi Color, lenticular printing, security printing and other demanding applications are not a problem anymore.
A unique register system with thermal compensation technology guarantees accurate positioning and imaging of all plates regardless of temperature change. Avalon A8T delivers a repeatability of +/- 5 microns between two consecutive exposures on the same plate, and +/- 20 microns between two plates imaged by different Avalon A8T platesetter. This ensures perfect registration for printing jobs with plates outputted by different platesetter, simplifying the production management of printers.
